What areas do you cover?

We’re based in Stevenage and cover all of London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Buckinghamshire. But if you’re outside these areas don’t threat, get in touch and we will always do our best to help how we can!

Is your work covered?

All our work is covered, we have public liability and indemnity insurance and we also have NICEIC insurance to settle your mind that much more.

What is the difference between an “Electrician” and you; the NICEIC electricians?

Something that shocks most people (no pun intended) is there is literally no qualification you need to obtain to become or be an electrician. NICEIC electricians have gone through multiple intense courses designed to ensure each one of our electricians are educated, skilled and proven to the most up to date regulations. Would you have a tooth removed by anyone other than a dentist?

What causes my fuse box to trip?

This can be many things, but will most likely come down to 3 issues; 1) a loose connection that one of your devices has noticed and has shut off to ensure electric shock prevention. 2) An overload coming into the house causing a fuse to trip. 3) A short circuit, this is simply when your live conductors touch and can result in fires, “pops” and a loss of electricity to a circuit.

Are you a qualified electrical firm?

Yes, we are an NICEIC approved electrical contractor which means we can, certify, sign off and notify building control for clients when required.

Do I need an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR)?

Whilst this is not strictly a requirement, unless under certain circumstances (i.e. a landlord, HMO etc,,,) it is certainly recommended for the electrical integrity of your house. You MOT your car once a year, your home only needs an EICR once every 5 years.
